Forgive but to forget?

By Disha Selarka on August 8, 2019

How easy it is for us to forgive someone, most of us can do it instantly and just look at the good in other people. And then comes the part of forgetting and what I realized today is when we don’t forget we are not forgiving yourselves.

Not forgetting leads us to have some kind of harsh feelings towards a person, you don’t do it consciously but it happens on a very unconscious level. And guess what, they have no idea about it and you know who is in a big deep mess? You! Because you keep thinking about it, you keep talking about it and you just don’t know what to do.

You want to be nice to the person but that letting go gets so difficult!

People leave memories with you, good ones, bad ones, bitter ones. What they do is on them but how they make you feel is on you. It is not easy to not let things affect you! Hell, it is the most difficult thing ever but you got to find a way out! I am still looking for mine, and if you know yours please do let me know as well!
I think the day we can forget those negative feelings is when we can be at peace, not just with that person but with ourselves!

No ego, no grudges, no bitter feelings, no proving of something! Just you and your mental peace!! That is what matters at the end of the day.

Have a Leap of faith in life and Carpe Diem it for once, by keeping all the negative aspects aside! And find a way to forget! And if you do help people out as well!

Forgiving is easy, forgetting is what messes us up and not them!

Love,

D
