Be aware of your surroundings, rather than being lost deep in your thoughts be conscious of what you see. Now how is this related to your impression? Well if you are lost in your own unconscious mind, how will you know who is walking right in front of you? The more aware you are of everything the more appreciative you are of everything.
There are two things I have learned in my life and both of them are very contradictory to each other and I am sure you must have heard the first one quite often in your life but I am going to go ahead and say it anyway.
“A person should always dress up for themselves” isn’t it correct?
However
“A person should also dress up for the people they are meeting.”
Now if I am more comfortable in my tracks and tee I am being myself so why do I have to dress up for someone else. Well, when you dress down or are inappropriately dressed the other person might feel that they weren’t important enough for you to take an effort and groom yourself.
So now the dilemma is on which one should you follow? Well, I think it is up to you to decide on what do you want and which makes sense to you. For me, it’s both because I love to look good always and that is why I am dressing up for myself, so that also makes me presentable for the person I am meeting. Why can’t you be comfortable and presentable?
Think about it and have your pick!!
Love,
D
